The blogs on WordPress.com got a nice little gift this week. PubSubBubbub (PuSH) was turned on for more than 10.5 million blogs hosted there. That may sound confusing, but all it really means is that posts published on WordPress.com will show up more quickly in feed readers than they used to–like real time quick.
That’s great for blogs on WordPress.com, but what about those of us who are running WordPress software on our own servers? Luckily, there’s the new PuSHPress plugin to help us out! And this one is a great one for folks who aren’t especially comfortable with installing plugins to their sites, because there’s nothing to configure.
Give it a shot, and watch how fast your next post shows up in your feed reader!
