Mashable just published a post on The Path to 10 Billion Tweets, and there’s some very interesting stuff here about Twitter’s demographics. How do the numbers presented here match up with demographics of what you consider to be your most coveted real estate clients?
A few points I found interesting:
- Over half of Twitter users have an education level of college and graduate school
- The largest segment of Twitter users is between the ages of 18 and 34
- Retweets and conversation account for almost half of all tweets (notice the low percentage of self-promotion and spam)
- A very small percentage of users have more than 500 followers or more than 500 tweets
